A/N: Double drabble.
Before making detective and being assigned to the 27th Precinct, Ryo’s life and career had been well on track. He’d been excited, looking forward to the new challenges he’d be facing now he was out of uniform, and although understandably a little nervous, overall, he’d felt very positive.
Then he’d arrived at his new posting, met the man who was to be his partner, and just like that, his life had begun to spiral out of control.
Dee Laytner was brash, confident, charismatic, and one of the most attractive men Ryo had ever met. Maybe he could have coped with that if his new partner hadn’t immediately shown interest in him, but even that first night, sharing the bed in his new apartment, with Bikky sleeping between them, Ryo had known deep down that he was in big trouble.
Then, to make matters worse, Dee had kissed him, full on the mouth!
Feelings Ryo had repressed for his entire adult life began to stir, desires he’d hoped he could ignore forever abruptly resurfaced… Now a ten-year-old kid was his only protection from the greatest threat to his calm, orderly life he’d ever encountered!
This was more than he could handle!
