Summary: The Doctor can barely stand to be around Jack.

Until now, the Doctor had considered himself to be enlightened. Having been born and raised on one of the universe’s most culturally advanced planets, and trained as a Time Lord, he’d always believed himself free from prejudices, tireless in his opposition of discrimination in all its many forms.
Nevertheless, despite knowing he was in the wrong, he couldn’t help the way he was reacting to Jack’s… condition. Everything about his former companion screamed wrongness, and all the Doctor wanted was to put as much distance between them as possible.
For someone who championed acceptance, his bias against Jack was shameful.
