A/N: Double drabble.
The radio’s playing loudly in the kitchen when Dee arrives home from work. His and Ryo’s schedules don’t always mesh exactly, even though they’re work partners as well as lovers, and today, although Dee had been scheduled to work, Ryo hadn’t.
When Dee had left his lover still snug and warm in bed, kissing him goodbye, Ryo had smiled and said he’d fix something special for dinner to make up for Dee having to work. Now, slipping out of his coat and kicking his shoes off, Dee inhales the delicious aromas wafting out of the kitchen and grins. Ryo’s kept his promise; whatever’s cooking smells wonderful.
Dee pads across the apartment in his socks, reaches the kitchen door, his presence so far undetected, and stops, his smile widening. Ryo is there, of course he is, bustling about as he checks the various pots and pans, humming along to the radio, and occasionally breaking into a snatch of song. He has a pretty good voice, although he seldom sings when there’s anyone around to hear him.
Then, to Dee’s delight, Ryo starts dancing, hips swaying to the music. The temptation’s too much, and Dee joins him, twirling him around.
“I’m home.”
