BtVS Triple Drabble: Rebel

Summary: Willow has never been rebellious until now.

A/N: Triple drabble.
Willow has never been the rebellious kind; she’s never had any reason to be. She’s always tried to be the perfect, respectful, dutiful daughter, except for sneaking over to Xander’s every year to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas, but that’s such a tiny thing it’s not worth mentioning.
Now though, with all the locker searches going on at school, the literal witch hunts, and her mom searching her room… She wants her mom to understand that she’s not a little kid anymore, she’s a teenager growing towards womanhood, and she can do… stuff. Nothing bad or evil, just small spells and minor enchantments.
Her mom is barely listening, it’s like speaking to a rock; nothing she says seems to register, falling apart against her mother’s preconceived notions. She dismisses everything Willow tells her as nonsense, thinks she’s acting out to get attention, which she SO isn’t, that she’s crying out to be disciplined.
Willow tries to argue, but all that gets her is grounded. The first and only time she’s ever done something her mom doesn’t approve of, and the punishment jumps straight to grounding; how is that fair?
The spark of rebellion flares. Is this how other teens feel, struggling to be heard? Willow tells her mom everything then, what she can do, what she hasn’t quite mastered yet, even that she’s dating a musician. Okay, so Oz is a high school student, but he plays in a band so that counts, right? She even makes up a few invocations to Satan. It doesn’t get the reaction she’s hoping for; her mom simply sends her to her room and forbids her from ever seeing Buffy again. Like that will stop her.
It doesn’t take a genius to see that even by Sunnydale’s standards something seriously weird is going on.
