A/N: Triple drabble.
There were definite advantages to living together, beyond the obvious ones of saving money, sharing the chores, and having someone warm and willing to snuggle with, among other things, at night.
It was the little things that Dee was learning to appreciate the most. Chatting over breakfast, sharing a beer after work, carpooling because there was no point both of them driving when they were going to the same place at the same time.
Grocery shopping was more work, unless he and Ryo went together, because with two of them there was obviously more to buy, but that was okay. At least the elevator was working so they didn’t have to carry everything up four flights of stairs. That was a workout both of them could do without.
One of Dee’s favourite things about living together, however, was the morning routine. They had two bathrooms now, and could use both while Bikky was at college, but most mornings they showered together in the spacious new master bath. They had twin bathroom sinks in there too, which meant they weren’t crowding each other out while shaving, and brushing their teeth.
And the best thing of all? That first morning kiss. Well, not quite the first, that one usually involved morning breath so most days they kept it to a quick peck, unless Dee was too horny to care, but this one…
As soon as Ryo rinsed his toothbrush and put it away, Dee snagged his lover around the waist and dove in to savour the taste of toothpaste and Ryo, his tongue making a thorough exploration. Pulling back, he grinned at Ryo, all mussed and gorgeous.
“Mm, minty fresh!”
“You’re a lunatic, you know that?”
“Why, ‘cause I like kissin’ you?”
“Sometimes I think you just like the taste of toothpaste.”
