A/N: Double drabble.
Jack knows how irresistible he can be when he really tries. Countless people, of assorted genders, have told him so over his long life. Even back when he was just an ordinary cadet training to be a Time Agent, he’d never lacked for willing bed partners. Of course, three thousand years in the future sex tends to be treated as a recreational activity; it has other connotations on twenty-first century earth.
Nevertheless, Jack knows himself to be a master of seduction, seldom failing to win whoever he sets his sights on. Someone catches his eye, he flirts with them, they flirt back… it hardly takes any effort at all.
And then there’s Ianto Jones, he of the dulcet Welsh vowels and immaculate suits. If he’s totally honest, Jack was attracted to the young man the first time they met, but he’d restrained himself because Ianto was a former Torchwood One employee. Eventually he’d given Ianto a job, because how could he turn away someone who offered him a pterodactyl?
So now Ianto works for him. Jack flirts with the Welshman, Ianto flirts back, and that’s it. Jack has never met anyone so resistant to the temptation he represents. It’s maddening!
