“Put that back,” the Doctor told Mickey firmly.
“Why? I was only lookin’ at it.”
“Well don’t, just keep your hands to yourself. The minimum penalty for theft around here is ten years’ hard labour in the mines.”
“I don’t steal,” Mickey grumbled, but he put the item back on the market stall.
A while later, the Doctor produced a key, letting the three of them into the palace.
“Where’d that come from?” Rose asked.
The Doctor grinned. “Snaffled it off a guard’s belt.”
Mickey frowned. “You mean you stole it.”
“Semantics. I prefer to think of it as borrowing.”
