A/N: Double drabble.
It hadn’t taken Dee long to get tired of the asshole’s pedantic bullshit. Okay, so he was a senior detective at the two-seven’s neighbouring precinct, and was helping out with running things while the Chief was out for a few weeks having knee replacement surgery, but he acted like he knew everything better than anyone else, and kept criticising the way everyone did their jobs!
Just because he was older didn’t mean he was wiser. He wanted everyone to follow procedures that had been out of date twenty years ago, treated the squad’s two female detectives like they belonged in the typing pool, and he’d called JJ something that didn’t bear repeating.
Just because Dee found JJ annoying didn’t mean he was going to let him be denigrated like that.
“Don’t know what the force is coming to, employing fags and skirts,” Detective Willard said, scowling at Dee. “Back in my day…”
Dee cut him off. “I case ya haven’t noticed, this isn’t the fifties, and this precinct isn’t gonna stand for misogyny, homophobia, racism, or any other kind of prejudice or discrimination,” he snapped. “Everyone workin’ here deserves to be respected. You can’t do that, we don’t need ya.”
