A/N: Double drabble.
“Make sure to pack your shorts, you told me.” Ianto gave his lover a sour look. “Shorts! In this weather! That would be just asking for hypothermia.” He pulled the thick blanket more tightly around himself as he turned away from the window. Outside a gale was blowing, driving rain and sleet before it.
“This is in no way my fault.” Bundled in his own blanket, Jack was trying to get a fire started in the hearth. “If anyone’s to blame, it’s the Doctor. I told him to take us somewhere sunny and warm. With beaches. He said he knew the ideal place.”
The Doctor had dropped them off at the cabin an hour ago, practically shoving them out the TARDIS door and telling them he’d be back to collect them in a few weeks. The TARDIS had dematerialized before they could fully take in their surroundings; then the rain had started, and they’d run for the only shelter.
At least the cabin was sturdy and weatherproof. Unfortunately, it was like an icebox inside.
“We’ll be fine once the place warms up,” Jack said, finally getting the kindling to ignite.
“I should have packed warm jumpers instead of my shorts.”
