A/N: Double drabble.
First thing in the morning, Ianto and Jack like to share coffee and breakfast. It’s their private time together before the start of the workday, and it’s the same whether Ianto went home the night before or shared the cot in Jack’s bunker.
Some days Ianto picks up breakfast from the café across the Plas; other times he’ll whip something up from whatever’s in the fridge. More often than not, they eat at Jack’s desk, making small talk and enjoying the peace and quiet. Today though…
Ianto comes out of the Hub’s cramped kitchen area carrying his tray. Coffee for two, and bacon butties, with the bacon extra crispy the way they both like it. But before he’s taken two steps, a hand comes out of nowhere, grabbing a mug and one of the butties. Whirling around, somehow managing not to spill anything, Ianto finds Owen.
“What’re you doing here? You’re never in this early!”
“Didn’t go home; I kipped in the medical room.” Owen bit into the butty. “Crispier than I like, but it’ll do.”
“That’s my breakfast!”
“Guess you’ll ‘ave to make more.”
“That was the last of the bacon.”
Owen smirks. “Tough luck. Sucks to be you.”
