Summary: Martha didn’t know how much she wanted adventure until she met the Doctor.

Martha had long considered herself the most grounded and stable member of her family. She knew what she wanted from life, to be a doctor and heal people, and she’d set about achieving her goals with focus and determination.
Then the Doctor had burst into her ordered, predictable life, and awakened in her a previously unimagined appetite for adventure. Almost before she knew what was happening, she was out in the universe, travelling through space and time, seeing places and people she’d never dreamed of.
Her old life seemed insignificant, even boring, in comparison. She’d never felt quite so alive.
