“Déjà vu,” Ianto said wryly, looking into Jack’s face from mere millimetres away and almost going cross-eyed.
“It’s not as bad as last time,” Jack said, being annoyingly glass-half-full.
“How d’you figure that out? I’m stuck to you. Or you’re stuck to me.”
“Only down the middle,” Jack pointed out. “At least this time our legs and arms aren’t affected so we won’t accidentally slap ourselves or each other in the face.”
“Alright, I suppose last time was worse, but this is still a problem.”
Jack shrugged that off. “It’s just a bit awkward, and Tosh is already working on it.”
“We’re magnetised together, Jack; a bit awkward doesn’t really cover it. All we can do is stand here; we can’t even sit down! And don’t you dare suggest lying on the sofa; we’d never get up again! If you hadn’t been messing around with that box of junk…”
“I said I was sorry; I didn’t know this would happen.” Reaching around Ianto, Jack flipped his wrist strap open and started pressing buttons.
“Now what’re you doing?”
Soft music filled the air; Jack smiled. “Dance with me?”
“You’re certifiable!”
“You have something better to do?”
Ianto sighed. “Dancing it is.”
