A/N: Triple drabble.
Dee had said he wasn’t making New Year resolutions anymore, and Ryo had agreed. After all, they were pointless since he never managed to keep his anyway and just ended up getting stressed over his failure.
Still, a little voice deep down inside was calling him chicken for letting himself be beaten. He should be trying to better himself, wasn’t that what resolutions were all about? Instead, here he was, ready and willing to throw in the towel, all because he’d never managed to keep a single resolution.
Dee had. A couple of years back he’d resolved to quit smoking and he’d done it. If Dee could follow through on something major like that, surely Ryo could manage something himself, even if it was only something small, because he couldn’t think of any major changes he needed to make. He’d never smoked, didn’t gamble, or drink to excess, ate healthily most of the time, and worked out regularly. What else was there?
Maybe if he resolved to not push himself so hard at work, and to relax more. Dee was always telling him he’d burn himself out if he wasn’t careful, so if he eased off on the unpaid overtime, tried to leave work behind at the end of the day, excluding the off-duty brainstorming sessions that were part of the job...
There was one other resolution he could make, one that might prove even harder to keep than not working himself into the ground. Perhaps it was time he stopped leaving it to Dee to make the first move in the bedroom, and maybe even relax and accept that sex didn’t have to be restricted to the bedroom all the time. Not at work though. Never at work.
Okay, now he had some resolutions. He just wouldn’t tell Dee.
