A/N: Double drabble.
Dee sighed; they were only a few days into the new year, and already there’d been another murder. To add to that delight, it was a messy one; so far, they’d found the torso, both arms, and half a leg; teams were searching the surrounding area for the rest.
Body dumps were bad enough, nobody liked discovering dead bodies, but finding parts of one was always worse. Why did some murderers think that dismembering a body and scattering the parts would keep them from getting caught? Okay, so rounding up all, or at least most, of the pieces took time, and some might never be recovered, but chopping someone into bits usually meant leaving more evidence for the cops to work with.
For one thing, it was a messy business, and wrapping the parts to avoid leakage meant more places the killer could leave fingerprints. Then finding places to dump them meant more chances of being caught on CCTV. With luck security cameras across the street from the alley might have caught the murderer.
“Not the best start to the year, is it?” Ryo smiled wryly at his lover.
“Pretty sure the vic’s year got off to a worse one.”
