The Doctor is all eager enthusiasm, smiling like a kid at Christmas, waiting for his temporary companion to make up his mind, but George is stumped. This isn’t like looking at a takeaway menu, where all the possible selections are right there in front of him. When the choices are infinite, how is anyone supposed to pick just one?
Come to that, how is he supposed to decide when he has no real idea of what his options are? He’s never left earth, has no idea what’s out there.
