Summary: Jack had promised dinner and a movie, so here he and Ianto were, at a restaurant.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto had one elbow on the restaurant table, and his chin resting on the heel of his hand, smiling across at Jack, who was sitting opposite him, regaling him with another of his improbable but no doubt completely true stories.
In a small corner of his mind, Ianto knew his mam would have given him hell about it if she’d still been alive and here to see him. She considered elbows on tables the worst display of bad etiquette, whether dining out or at home, but he didn’t care. The meal had been wonderful, the wine excellent, and he was feeling slightly buzzed, although the coffee he was sipping was taking the edge off and clearing his head. Everything about this date had been perfect, and that included the company.
“Sorry,” Jack said suddenly, breaking into Ianto’s half-thoughts. “I was rambling. I do that sometimes when I’m nervous.”
“Rambling?” Ianto’s smile widened. “I thought you were telling me a highly entertaining story about a case of… mistaken identity,” he said, sipping his coffee. “You’ve got nothing to be nervous about; I was just thinking how much I’m enjoying this.”
“You are?”
“Yep! Ramble away, Jack. You’re always worth listening to.”
