A/N: Double drabble.
Since becoming a parent, Ianto had learned to relish those rare occasions when he got to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Usually, they only happened late at night when the kids were all in bed asleep, or when Jack, Rhiannon, or one of the team volunteered to take the ravening horde to the park for a couple of hours.
Today, however, Jack was at the Hub, it being one of his workdays, Meriel was at school, and the twins were being suspiciously quiet.
Ianto scanned the open-plan living room, but his two-year-old monsters were nowhere in sight, and neither were their Flufflets. In Ianto’s experience that could only mean trouble.
Abandoning the newspaper, he stepped over the baby gate that kept the Holy Terrors out of the kitchen and went in search of the world’s youngest juvenile delinquents.
He found them out in the roof garden, and how they’d managed to get through the Fluff door he had no idea. It only worked for the Fluffs because of computer chips embedded under their skin.
When it came to toddlers, quiet was never a good thing. The twins were playing happily, liberally coated from head to toe in mud.
