A/N: Double drabble.
It was late; most of the team had already left for the night. The only people still in the Hub were Ianto and Tosh, relaxing on the sofa with cookies and mugs of hot chocolate, enjoying a bit of quality time.
By now Jack would be on his way back from London, following his monthly meeting with HM, and it was Tosh’s turn for night duty. Since there was no point going to bed until his lover got home, Ianto was keeping his friend company. They’d been so busy lately it was good to finally have time for an uninterrupted chat.
During a lull in their conversation, Tosh’s attention was caught by the Hub’s newest inhabitant. Nosy the Fluff was on the opposite sofa, curled around its teddy bear and stuffed sheep, humming quietly.
Torchwood’s tech expert studied the furry alien thoughtfully for a moment before speaking. “Ianto, do you think Fluffs have their own language?”
“Hm?” Ianto dragged himself out of thoughts of Jack.
“It sort of looks like Nosy’s whispering to its toys, like I used to do at night when I was little.”
Ianto smiled. “Wouldn’t surprise me, but I doubt we can learn to speak Fluff.”
