Summary: Team Torchwood are having to adjust to being popular instead of despised.

A/N: Double drabble.
Over the years, the Torchwood team had grown accustomed to being less than popular among Cardiff’s residents. Every time they showed up somewhere, or even if they were just driving past in the SUV, they could count on being greeted with shouts and mutters of ‘Bloody Torchwood’ and other similar phrases, frequently accompanied by a wide variety of rude gestures.
Being so unappreciated was hardly surprising since few people knew what Torchwood actually did. It was only natural, considering the chaos that followed wherever they went, that most folk considered them a nuisance at best.
But now, following the defeat of the aliens that had wanted to take their children, suddenly everyone’s attitude had changed.
It was disconcerting, driving through Cardiff, to see people stop and turn, smiling, waving, giving them the thumbs up, even, in some cases, applauding. Instead of feeling unappreciated, they were being treated like celebrities, to the point that people were asking for their autographs and wanting to have their photograph taken with the heroes who’d saved earth’s children.
“I wonder how long it’ll last,” said Tosh.
Ianto snorted. “Probably only as long as it takes for Jack to destroy someone’s property.”
“Hey!” Jack exclaimed indignantly.
