A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.
Thanks to the phone call from the man responsible, Dee and Ryo had known the 27th Precinct’s station house was rigged to explode, and that they only had a short amount of time to clear the building. At least they’d been warned in time and the evacuation had proceeded smoothly. One thing about a building full of cops; the panic was minimal.
What Dee hadn’t been anticipating was finding a bomb in his desk. Worse, just the act of opening the drawer to retrieve his wallet had been enough to trigger a thirty-second countdown. That was not good.
They should still have had several minutes left to make their escape before the rest of the bombs went off; now there was no time to do anything but run as fast as they could, praying they could get out before the whole damned place was brought down on top of them.
