“What’re you looking so excited about?” Ianto asked as Jack bustled back into the Hub following a Rift retrieval, grinning all over his face. That expression always set alarm bells ringing inside Ianto’s skull; he knew only too well what it meant. “Should I be worried?”
“Whatever for?” Jack’s innocent look was even more worrying than the anticipatory grin.
“I know you. Every time you come back grinning like that it means you’ve found something you think we can play with to spice up our love life. Not that it needs spicing up.”
Jack’s face fell. “Am I that obvious?”
“Yes.”
That drew a pout. “You could have at least pretended to think about it. Anyway, it’s not a sex toy as such.”
“It’s not?” Ianto raised a disbelieving eyebrow.
“It’s a sex manual from the thirty-fourth century, full of ideas and positions. Check out the illustration on page 48.” Jack thrust the manual into Ianto’s hands. “You won’t believe how amazing that feels!”
Turning to the suggested page, Ianto studied the picture and rolled his eyes. “I don’t have tentacles, Jack, I have legs and I guarantee they don’t bend that way. I’d snap in half!”
“Oops, wrong page.”
