7-6 over Minnesota -- no thanks to Kei Igawa, who pitched another bad game (with flashes of brilliance, when he had a 1-2-3 inning over the Twins' three best hitters). However, home runs by Robbie Cano, Melky Cabrera (he's in my icon, making a great catch last June against the Red Sox, when he went over the outfield wall to take a homer away from Manny Ramirez, who's a damned good hitter) and Hideki Matsui gave them the lead, and Mo Rivera held on for the save.
Andy Phillips is starting to hit, and it looks like Matsui is coming back to form -- his homer went 10 rows back into the bleachers.
