back at home
chile was interesting. amazing. wonderful. and awful.
-finally met some of my family. that made it sooo worth it.
-the smog in santiago is worse than anything i've ever breathed in ever. oh and the smoke in antofagasta. everyone smokes. couldn't handle it.
-i got to see desert. be in desert. sooo cool. i passed the tropic of capricorn. theres a monument thing, we have pictures.
-i got beat up. had a black eye for the end of my trip. its gone now though... or maybe theres a slight bruise.
-i speak good spanish, but when it comes to trying to communicate with people at a level where you want them to get to know you for real, not good enough. so it was frustrating with my family when they didn't understand me.
-things are SO cheap in chile and peru!! SO cheap. pretty much everything i have was less than 20 dollars... and MOST of the things i have are like in the range of 1-5$. sooo good.
-they had english tv! and movie channels that played movies in english all day long.
-fresh bread every day at all hours of the day!! FRESH!!
-i didn't get robbed thank murphy!... cause barb did before i got there.
-got drunk with my grandpa... lets back up... I HAVE A GRANDPA!!
-i had to go to lima alone. and the prospect was a little scary... but in the end it was all okay. thanks to tons of searching for the right ticket from Tacna, Peru.
-MY PISCO GOT TAKEN AWAY IN FUCKING PERU!!... they have a law against bringing chilean pisco into the country... they claim that pisco is their invention... so they keep the chilean one out (probably because its better, and people will stop buying their cruddy pisco)... soo frustrating. NOW HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET DRUNK AND CELEBRATE MY RETURN HOME!?!
