quick check in....

As Jane Austen would put it, "The PLEASURE of an unexpected meeting with a friend long absent has retroactively improved my perception of the day hither to."

I ran into a guy I know only peripherally at the market purely by accident: I'd long held quite a schvelm for his room-mate (former boyfriend) and outside the fact that they somewhat resemble each other in that brown haired, bearded musclebear sort of way, I hadn't really clocked him too much. That changed this evening. He's quite smart, and creative and has really good energy. We stood in Safeway talking a remarkable time (15-20 minutes?) and I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. So much so that I impulsively moved forward to give him a hug and WHAMMO! Our bodies seem to have figured out the chemistry part FAR earlier than our brains did. I'm not saying that there was instant arousal in the frozen food section, but there was certainly sympathetic energy passing back and forth. His gut response, "That's what I'm talking about!" had us both blushing profusely when the hug was over. If I am fortunate enough that he is currently single, I do expect to hear from him... I made sure he had my number for horticultural help...(He's trying to create a sensory garden, and that's how the conversation got struck up to begin with).

The other item of note is I am finally working on the long overdue series of children's books I've always wanted to do... of what? wellllll. Let's just say I'm following the admonition of "write about what you know best." and leave it at that. I don't want to jinx the project.

XOXO y'all.
