Deliveries

You know how, when you order something, it always gets delivered on a day you have to be somewhere. Well today was one of those days. Slept on the couch incase it turned up well early (VERY tired so blatantly wouldn't have woken up if in bed!) but nope, didn't appear before 12 :(
Headed off to Academy with the vain hope that it'd not turn up till late in the day as we only had backline to sort out, then we got broken well early. I headed home ready to find a "we called but you weren't in" letter, and thenI got a phonecall. Unknown number turned out to be the delivery driver. He couldn't raise anyone at the house and was checking the address (I still have no numbers on my door) We had a little chat and it was suggested by mr driver that a signature was not required if wrote down that he'd spoken to me. It was decided he should put it in the Blue Bin. 2 mins later phone went again, blue bin is full. Denied I think, Theres no where else to leave it, But no, this clever driver had caught next door leaving, and "borrowed" their grass collection bin and put it by my back door, with said delivery in, and called me back to let me know!

I'm sure anyone reading this will be as surprised as I to hear of such good work by a deliveryman! Needless to say, I have asked the company I bought stuff off to send a commendation for the driver to the delivery firm. Now why can't all drivers be like that rather than filling in the "we missed you" car don the way out of the van?!?!
