(no subject)
Lately Ive been wanting a dog to walk around the block in the evenings, I dont really want a dog to keep...I guess I just want something to do after work besides sit around the house. Lee and I have been hanging out a lot which is cool...He seems to be the one person Ive become real good friends with up here. Im moving over to those apt's with him around January hopefully which will be awesome. Last night we went to the cd store and Borders books. I got The New White Stripes Album, a Radiohead tribute album, and the First Foo Fighters CD (I cant remember what its called). I was in a way, dissappointed with the White Stripes album but its also really unique and I kind of like it. I wont be listening to it all the time but I dont think it was a waste of money getting it if that makes sense. At Borders I got the Book "Children playing before a Statue of Hercules" which is Edited and Introduced by David Sedaris....I thought he wrote it but then I read the intro and its pretty much a compilation of his favorite short stories by his favorite authors. So far Ive read the first short story by Richard Yates which was really really good and half of the second story which Im liking a lot. Sedaris writes in the intro

Then you'll see how difficult it was to choose one Tobias Wolff story, one Alice Munro story, and so on down the line. It's the writers who make it hard. Them and their damned excellence."
It one of those books where you go to bed earlier than usual just so you can read a good amount of it..well it is so far. I talked to my friend Erin the other day which was nice...spoke for a little bit, Its always nice to connect again with somebody you havent talked to for a while....there are a lot of people ive started to really miss lately. Ive had this weird thought a few times wondering who will be at my wedding when the time comes that I get married...when Ive been to other weddings theyve had friends there from when they are little kids and old college buddies and stuff but..I dont have any college buddies....I just drive to school, go to class and drive home. I dont know Im bein crazy and this journal entry is getting looonnng.. hope everyone had a good day.
