Growing up, my mother made us keep our dogs outside.  They were never allowed in the house.  The closest compromise would be when it was cold they were allowed in the kitchen which was then barricaded off from the rest of the house.  My mother wasn't being cruel.  She just comes from an era in which people believe animals should be outside.  With ( Read more... )
