Why did I think Googling for Criminal Intent fic would be ok?... The Day the World Ends
Paige got out of bed a little slower than she should have but with the lack of that she desperately needed was getting the best of her. That and the fact that her baby blue silk night gown and the sheets on the bed were having a fierce static battle.
(Lack of what? And why am I picturing some kamehameha style electricity building up between her night gown and the sheets?)
Within seconds Paige was out the door and down the hall standing next to her sister Piper both wearing a full face of concern.
(Because half a face would just look silly.)
“What in the hell are they doing going after the law and in brood day light?” Phoebe asked.
(Don't you know everyone can see you in brood daylight!)
“It’s true. I know it’s hard to believe but demons are going to attack al the police academies and police officers in New York with in a couple of days. I saw the world end.”
(Because the NYPD are the last line of defence for the whole world!)
Demons are going to try to take over our law and order.
(Demons/tv execs, potato/potahto...)
“So the books on Harry Potter are true and that is how you are alive?”
(I knew J.K.Rowling was in on the conspiracy!)
Everyone in the room was stunned anybody who is everybody knew about Harry Potter considering that now J.K. Rolling has written his life story.
(Six police officers in the room, and no one thought maybe he was just a kid in a Harry Potter costume?).
And that's just the first 3 chapters...my eyes kinda glazed over.
