Didn't Lily's helicopter explode? I know the first time I saw Cloverfield, I thought she lived, but on subsequent viewings I'm not so sure. I think it gets stomped on before it gets too far.

Not to mention, the entire movie is one big contrivance. XD

The thing we see explode has been confirmed as a truck.

I've watched that darn movie a lot of times and I NEVER believed she lived. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I believe she died, despite what they say (just because she didn't die on tape doesn't mean she's still alive)

Conversely, I believe Rob lived and Beth died.

I thought the two choppers went the same way? It just so happened that Lily's was at a timing where they managed to avoid the monster and not get jumped? IDK. I've only seen it twice and I didn't pay much attention to where the different helicopters went.

No, it wasn't that way at all. Lily's goes one way and Rob's, Hud's and Beth's goes another, RIGHT ABOVE CLOVIE.

Those two facts really lowered my enjoyment of the movie, since they were SO OBVIOUS.
