Second, does anyone else think that the scene in which Lily is led to survival in Cloverfield (one chopper with ONLY ONE PLACE LEFT? Can you say PLOT CONTRIVANCE and DEUS EX MACHINA?) and the following scene, in which the chopper with Rob, Beth and Hud on board goes a totally different way, ending up RIGHT ABOVE THE MONSTER, which is the source of all the danger (Let's hear a PLOT CONTRIVANCE!), not to mention the scene in Vacancy where Luke Wilson gets badly wounded and the unlikable female lead, played by Kate Beckinsale, gets to save the day, sound like they were taken out of one of the bad!fics we spork here?
