Creative Line Substitutes
Well, I've seen a lot of creative line substitutions on Fanfiction.net in an attempt to get around FFN's war against punctuation. Some work okay, some are quite funny, some are quite disturbing.
For those who don't know, the asterisk is the latest casualty. FFN used to convert a row of asterisks into a line but then sometime last year it just ate them, and also retroactively ate the asterisk-generated lines it had previously put into older stories.
Today I saw this used twice on a Naruto fic:

Warning: if you google this fic, it has incest/rape/homophobia, maybe other stuff too (I didn't read it all).
