I read the epilogue (since I didn't get around to reading the train-wreck that was the fic, even though I'd talked about it with others), and Ichigo and Orihime's cheating is hand-waved by Rukia having an affair with Renji, cause he's there and he's got a thing for her. So everyone's okay with the situation!

Best part of the epilogue - Ichigo comes home to find out Rukia cheated on him and thinks she's the best person in the world because of it.

Yep, fairy hair-clip magic, IIRC. Orehime can heal almost anything, but the people she's with don't know that. This is definately a, "No, shut up, we're going to a hospital," situation.
