Maybe it would hurt less if I just didn't care

So I'm trying to break my desperate addiction to South Park fanfiction, and I thought, 'what better way to get away from inanities about high schoolers dating each other than with some deep, life-or-death Death Note stories?'

But it appears my favourite fandom now makes even less sense than emotional!Cartman.

No, this is not a fic. It's a bunch of one-liners and incidents (or non-incidents in the case of those that don't even make enough sense to be called "incidents") assembled into a list.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure it's not allowed. Under fanfiction.net guidelines, "Entries not allowed" #1 says:

"Non-stories: lists, bloopers, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, and etc."

I'm actually kind of impressed that a list managed to be so extremely OOC. None of the characters are acting even slightly like themselves, they're all rather appearance-obsessed and shallow 13-year-old girls.

True, true, but they actually enforced that rule, half of the site's content would be gone.

That's true. And it's also possible to get around the rules with minor modifications. If the writer just stopped calling it a list and removed the numbers it would probably technically pass, simply as a fic that is very, very disorganized and plotless (which is not against the rules).

Actually some of these are a little funny. Except, you know, it's applied to Death Note characters. And some of them are pretty silly. I have this distinct feeling that the author took this from somewhere else and slapped DN characters on it because...it would be more amusing? But it's not.

I dunno, some of these are charming, but the fact that it has pre-existing characters ruins it. /two-cents

Maybe more obscure fandoms would be good for you? Those tend to not have so much badfic. :]

I couldn't find any evidence of plagiarism using google, but that isn't absolute proof. It really does have the feeling of something else that just had Death Note character names inserted.

Although, anything that is extremely OOC has that feeling.

She says she watched a video on youtube and then came up with these ideas with her friend. There are also a load of suggestions in the reviews. But yeah, it all seems pretty standard and familiar.

I would have a WTF face too, if Mello said that to me. Or anyone.

Ahahaha... wut. D:

Obviously Light has, like, been replaced with some, like, flouncing valley girl stereotype or something.

"Mass Murder and detective work was soooo last year... Do these khakis make my thighs look big? Oh mah gawd, I swear I have thunder thighs."

"I'm, like, so sorry Light-kun, if it weren't for me forcing you to share my sweets..."

"Oooh. I knew this was all your fault. Bitch."

Insert tittering and shoving here.

... ... ... I don't even know what that was. I'm just going to go back to my corner and bleach my brain now.

Edit: For misplaced apostrophe.
