[The feed clicks on, and somebody's looking a little put out. When he'd spoken with the doctor in the first place, his hopes had been raised. Forest full of animals. It would be crappy, but it was necessary

[He chuckles, before saying in almost a sigh] Trust me, I wouldn't be complaining in your position.
I'm Dean. Have you been here long? I don't think I've seen you around, and I'm not one to forget a pretty face. [Conversationalist. He is one when it comes to women.]
I have a special diet. [And he's avoiding it as much as possible.] I hate the food on it. [Look at his face, if you can't hear the honesty in his voice, and tell him he's lying.]
[He flashes her a smile] You too, huh? Well, there goes my chance of asking you to show me around.
Eh, I've got lost worse places - I get around a lot. And the dark's not a problem - if it is, the doc has flashlights. He did say we should buddy up with them.

[He chuckles] that crap would never work on Ghosts.
[He clicks off the feed, and starts off to her room. As he gets closer, the smell of human blood fills his nostrils. figures he thought bitterly. He arrives at her door, and hesitates before knocking. He closes his eyes, and takes a breath.
No. He'd held himself back during the fight, when the kid had been right under his damned nose, he could do it now.
That, and the fact he'd already told her that he'd be here, so... let's do this. He took his flashlight - he hadn't expected it to come with him and he sure as hell hadn't thought to look for it, being able to see and all, but talking about the flashlight had prompted him to check his usual spot for keeping it in his jacket and he'd been pleasantly surprised that it was in there - out of his pocket, and switched it on, before rapping on the door.]
Roxanne? [Why was he tempted to sing that name, police style? He's glad he didn't. that would have been an awesome first impression :|]

[Wait…what? Was that an implication he’d dealt in ghosties before? She eyes her device suspiciously as she slips it into her pocket. Roxanne is an analytical creature by her very nature - if you can see it and touch it, it’s real. Ghosts have not ever been something she has been a firm believer in.
But after being presented with magic flowers, Roxanne might be a little more inclined to believe in the supernatural.
That and being whisked to a house in the middle of nowhere with people from random worlds might do it, too.
Regardless, she’s leaning on the doorframe waiting for the knock. She tugs the handle open when she hears it, then points a finger at him.]
Don’t do it. I know you want to give me your best Sting impression.
[He's rather amused] I trust you. Hell, I'd have been surprised if they didn't. Great song though.
top down it is. [He starts forwards, looking over his shoulder to make sure she's following, and that she's not too far behind. after all, he's used to hunting with Sam, and they have very familiar patterns of working, and don't really need to speak or check if one's following the other, they just know that they will. Hence why he'll be checking over his shoulder a lot.] Have you had much haunted house experience, or is this your first time ghostbusting?

It would be nicer to meet you if I knew your name, I'd think. I'm Roxanne.

Hi, Dean. No - I haven’t, actually. I’ve only been here a few days. Still pretty new, trying to get the hang of this whole thing.

Well, unless you're keen on getting lost in a dark, creaking mansion that's falling down around us. You're new, too?

Yeah, I've been here no more than a week at most.

[He puts his hands down, and passes her the flashlight] you take it. [he doesn't add the "I don't need it".]
So. From the bottom up, or top down?

Everyone thinks about it - trust me. [She hefts the flashlight in her hand, brandishing it like a weapon.]
Right. How about top down?
