[Ryohei arrives at the manor at what seems to be around 4 in the morning.

He proceeds to yell at a volume that it can be heard through out the entire hallway extremely clearly and through the unknowingly turned on blackberry at an ear-shattering volume.]

"RYOHEI FIGHTO!!! ALRIGHT MY ULTIMATE POWER IS EMERGING N-"

[As a person who isn't a heavy sleeper, a sound much quieter than the shouting blaring on the Blackberry would have woken Light up. It's a double insult that the shouting appears to be originating from only a few doors away. He half feels for the light switch, only to remember that the electricity is out. Groaning, he reaches over for the Blackberry to shut it off, but the time on the display makes him pause. Four AM? Really? Just who the hell is this goddamn idiot? No, he doesn't care that it's obviously someone new to the Manor, nor does he care that he's still technically part of the welcoming committee, all God Light wants is some peace and quiet.]

...Do you have any idea what time it is?

[Hearing Light's voice, he notices the Blackberry on top of the pillow of his bed, but he doesn't notice the aggravated tone in Light's voice. He proceeds to answer his question like a GOOD CITIZEN and forgets his confusion from a few seconds ago.]

I'M EXTREMELY SORRY, BUT I DON'T HAVE A WATCH OR A CLOCK EXTREMELY NEAR ME!!

[...He doesn't notice the time written right on the Blackberry monitor.]

[For a moment, Light stares at his Blackberry in disbelief, having been physically stunned into silence. He didn't think it was possible but this guy, whoever the hell he is, isn't just an idiot. It's worse. If it were anyone else, he would have suspected idiot-savantism, because no-one could possibly be this stupid. After all, not even Misa had been this vacuous. But there's no way a self respecting person could ever pretend to be this stupid, which leads him to think that it's not an act at all- that this person is just a loud, obnoxious moron.

If that were the case, then there's nothing else for it. Any attempt at subtlety would be wasted effort. No. The physical act of staying on the line with this person is a waste of time. There's nothing that can be said that would penetrate his skull.]

[If Light were tired a few minutes ago, he isn't any longer. Four AM fatigue, evidently, is easily supplanted by a sudden explosion of irritability. "Clinically moronic" is the new phrase he would use to describe this white-haired idiot--A secondary twinge of anger invades his thoughts when he remembers the other white-haired man child resident of the Manor-- because obviously, one had to have some physiologic basis for stupidity this severe. No, Light doesn't give a damn whatever the hell Ryohei thinks a hoove is, it is decidedly not "extreme."

He rubs his eyes tiredly, because, now despite all of his wishes, Light is actually fully awake. He examines Ryohei's face carefully- a force of habit from his days as Kira, and notes the scar on his forehead. Dropped on the head as a child. That had to explain it. Drank lead paint would have been another explanation. Smashed into a wall head-on repeatedly- ...Ah. He pauses, mid thought. Now he's simply cycling through what he would like to do to Ryohei, were he able to get away with it. He ( ... )

[It's the incessant volume that keeps Light from fully appreciating just how compliant Ryohei is. Answers questions as asked. Would probably be easy to manipulate. Check, check. If only he were quiet and stupid--in other words, more Matsuda-like than Misa. As it stands, Ryohei falls so far beneath Light's tolerance for idiocy that he doubts Ryohei would even be capable of following instructions. Misa at least could adhere to what she was told to do. It'd probably be best if anything to plant ideas in Ryohei's mind rather than micromanage, for Light's own sanity ( ... )

[A name. Such a simple request, a reasonable one too, even though Light has absolutely no desire to give that information to Ryohei. With any luck, if Light never told Ryohei his name, he would never know it, which would mean the idiot would never find out where Light lives. The first name Light thinks to give in a sudden spark of admittedly juvenile thinking, is Near. But is there even a point to that? It would only serve to make Light look stupid if Ryohei called him "Near" or "Ryuzaki" in public. A fake name would be better then, if Light were to give a name at all.

Though, even that doesn't seem worth it in the end, as it's more than likely that eventually Ryohei would figure it out if someone were to call Light's name in the hallway in earshot of the idiot. ....Then again, maybe he wouldn't. Arguably it's more challenging trying to predict the thoughts of the inept.]

That's because I'm not in Naminori Junior High school. I graduated. [Something clearly Ryohei is going to have great difficulty with. Light God forbid this moron actually leave with a diploma in his hand. And no, he's not going to bother explaining that he didn't attend Namimori either. Further questions are the last thing Light wants at this point.]
