Your voice is the only thunder I’ll hear

Last night was Jenn Bostic and Emma Stevens at Band On The Wall in Manchester. So off I hopped in Lotte and toddled up the M6 to see them. Had a few freaking out moments because of going on my own and not knowing ANYONE going, but luckily had gchat open on my phone and
ravensword encouraging me.

Gawain had, again, organised me a seat. One little chair on it's own. And the very nice standing people all made sure I could see, which was very nice of them. I was adopted by an elderly lady called Nell, who had to be older than my mum, and her daughter Jackie, who were making sure I was comfortable, if I needed a drink. I also know all about Nell's other daughter Denise, her current holiday, her love of travelling but fear of flying LOL

Emma was on her own, completely solo. I've only ever seen her with her band and it was very different. Her voice was beautiful. She said she was out of her comfort zone, but you couldn't tell.

Jenn... oh wow. Piano, rather than keyboard, the sound was so rich and full, and her voice rode it perfectly, she was soaring. Absolutely amazing, kinda jawdropping, y'know? I love watching her play, waching her watching us and her face just lights up at the fact we're all singing back. She's adorable *grins* Cried my heart out as ever to Just One More day - then straight into giggling at I Don't Like You At All. Then sobbed and possibly flooded Manchester to Jealous Of The Angels.

I haven't quite figured out the camera on my new phone (we're talking I got it about 2 hours before I hit the road to Manchester!) but I managed to get a couple pictures I really like.

Then there was the filming of the video for Missin' A Man... so much fun, can't wait to see the finished product... and hoping you don't see too much of me in it haha

Afterwards, got to chat to both girls for a while, got a photo with Jenn that Jackie's gonna send to me, and had all the hugs from Emma. It was SO good seeing them both again and can't wait til next time - definitely what the doctor ordered.

I have thinky thoughts about the power of music but that's another post. But yes, awesome gig by lovely ladies was awesome and I had much funs ♥
