COOK - 20 mins
READY IN - 30 mins
Ingredients
455g ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
355 ml water
1 g chili powder
1 g garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Method
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the beef and onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add the stewed tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, beans and water.
Season with the chili powder, garlic powder, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Om nom nom nom NOM.
Obviously, I had to change the recipe a little due to those pesky food allergies. I swapped out the chili powder with cumin and coriander, which is like my favourite combination of spices. And it was delicious. I made SO much and have three further meals worth of it in the freezer. Can't wait to eat it again!
