30 Days of OTP: Day Sixteen, OTP That the Writers Inexplicably Broke Up

Steven Hyde & Jackie Burkhart, That 70s Show
So, for me, getting into this show only happened once it was in syndicated reruns, but I eventually bought the whole series on DVD so I could know that I had watched it from beginning to end, or at least from beginning to the end of S7. Because for me, S8 DOES NOT EXIST. Or, at least nothing beyond the first episode of S8 when Jackie wants to get back together and so does Hyde, even if he's not quite ready for marriage. But going back to the beginning, Hyde is obviously the only guy WORTH ANYTHING ON THIS SHOW; Eric is too whiny and skinny, Kelso is TOO STUPID, Fez is TOO FEZ, and Hyde is just COOL. And he really, truly loved Jackie, even though she can be very selfish, spoiled, and insensitive. And she loved Steven, completely, but she just always had to push too hard, and that's what got them into the mess that broke them up (for the last time, but not really, /forever in denial). But I really thought they'd fix it before the end of the series, because maybe Eric and Donna were "the" couple on T70sS, but Hyde and Jackie were the much more interesting SEXY couple, and their relationship just made sense; they were both broken in their own ways, and they completed each other with their oddities, and just UGH. I can't get over how this show ended, with Jackie ending up with Fez, that's why S8 is dead to me. I SAID, DEAD TO ME!
