(no subject)
I am unsure about my trip to Dragon Con this year. I love going to see all my friends and the guests, but trying to justify the grand or so in costs is getting tough. The hotels are getting absolutely stupid with the cost of the event. I mean $200 a night for 4 nights, plus $20 parking/day, plus food and alcohol, plus working the con?
I truly love the people on our track, but I haven't been able to work in 3 years (as of April 16). I'm not exactly rolling in the cash here. The money I get from disability barely covers my bills. If it wasn't but for the grace of God(s), I would be seriously SOL right now. I can easily see how people lose everything when they are waiting for a settlement with workman's comp.
In other news, I started PT Thursday, which is a step in the right direction. Maybe I'll actually be walking by GARF so I can at least have a little folding money in the pocket.
