Well, hello everyone. It has been a long time since I have posted, (like someone else I know who I won't name but lives in New Orleans) but I guess I haven't had much to say or time to say it. Let's see...summer is here and I have done a little organizing and cleaning. Not much, yet, though. Daddy and I went back on the strict 2 week phase of the South Beach Diet, so much of my time was spent pouring over the Light and Tasty magazines to find something interesting to eat. I didn't lose the weight that I did when I first went on it, but I didn't stay as strict, either. My clothes are looser, though. Daddy was grumpy and didn't want to be on it. I guess I will try to cook healthy, but I told him if he got hungry for something, just tell me, and I will fix it. We did not fall off the wagon today, we dived head first! I fried shrimp and fish and had french fries, even though they were baked. I also made him a lemon cake. We will have to try to be good next week.
We are looking forward to seeing Emma this week and spend the night with Karalee and Rickey in N.O. It has been a while since we were there.
I have to put my daughter on yet another plane to go far, far away on Tuesday. I am happy for her, but I try not to think about how far away she will be. I'm glad Marcus is with her. I really don't like putting my children on planes. I really like my little ducks all in a row here at home.
Daddy and I have decided to catch up on the tv series 24 this summer. We watched the first season last week, and I don't think I was breathing until a commercial break. I am not sure I can watch it. It is too intense. I enjoyed it, though. Let's see...I have seen Ocean's 13 and Gracie this summer. I want to take Emma to see Ratatouille, or however you spell it. I think it comes out next weekend. We have to have the windshield fixed on our car tomorrow. A rock hit it, and the crack is spreading.
I have been invited to New Orleans to be included in the midnight buying of the new Harry Potter book. This includes 2 of my children. I'm not sure about the 3rd one. Poor thing. She has to study when everyone else is having a summer. I will pray for her that her studying will be as painless and effortless as possible. See, I told you I would ramble.
Well, I guess I will stop. Have a nice day and a good week this week. Love all of you. Mom
