This week was really interesting, with the Baltimore riot going on. Definitely wish it didn't happened ... but it brought out a side to some human characters I wouldn't normally see. Pretty much it was the realization that 'white supremacist' views are more common than I thought. Within my social circle and connection, I'll kinda know or figure out people's stance on issues, or their political affiliation. For the most part it's cool, I respect you, you respect me ... Got into a few days of Facebook argument with a certain someone, a friend's husband. I would post things on the riot or on racism, and he would return back with blaming the African-American saying it's their fault or just returning with racist comments. It brought out a side I was shocked to see - who would've thought, within my social circle?
It was indeed a sad realization ... that someone who I knew had differences in opinion, would just come out straight up as a white supremacist. I noticed he used such terminology as 'bigot' and 'terrorist', words I found when researching politics and racism, and how the political parties deal with racism, associated with Republicans. It's sad to see someone selling their souls to our man made system of politics in which we only have two choices these day in age - which is so deeply flawed in so many ways - accepting all ideologies regardless if it is right or wrong.
