I'm a big fan of snarky, bantery sibling interactions. They're fun. But can there be...I don't know, at least some sort of hint from your character that she actually cares about her brother? He sprinkles in smilie faces in his written comments, gives her compliments as well as teases, and says stuff like "I love you and there's nothing you can ( Read more... )

If the player accuses you of OCC/IC line-crossing, give them the finger and ditch them. They aren't worth role playing with if all they can do is be mean and pretend it's snark. No. That's not fucking snark.

I've noticed that of RPs people seem to totally lose any sense of what is and is not appropriate behavior for their character to display. For some reason, nowadays, being a jerk is 'cool'.

Speaking AS a sister whose sibling can be a jerk at times, "screw you" is a valid response to a lot less than what your character puts up with.

And I'm chiming in on this as well, as a big sister who has treated the younger one like crap through the years. I grew out of it, but yeah - she had every right to tell me that, many times over.
