I'm going to take you back to the past, and play the shitty sucks that suck ass.
Once upon a time, there was a character who was played with certain characteristics. These characteristics totally made sense.
Then along came a douche who said "That character shouldn't act that way! It doesn't make sense even though they LOOK like what they're acting like!" Never mind that in canon the character DOES act that way...but the person's personal preference was they should not, because in their convoluted mind it didn't make sense to them.
So what does that have to do with now?
Quite simply put, there's another character. Not the same as the one previously mentioned, nor is it the same player, but with similar characteristics. Actually, even more "egregious" characteristics that douchenozzle has complained about before on other players. So I will be VERY surprised if they DO NOT complain about the characteristics of the new character.
But they're a goddamn fucking hypocrite if they don't, I'll tell ya that.
So, BRPS. Should I warn player x about the propensity of douchenozzle to complain about the style of play that x is engaging in? Or just let them find out for themselves? And if they do find out for themselves, would it be a good idea to support them, especially since they're NOT a bad RPer? Last thing we need is another player to quit suddenly because doucherocket is douche.
TL;DR, history might repeat itself with a new victim. Chance to avert potential crisis.
