TWINS ARE NOT THE SAME PEOPLE

I know there can be fascinating similiarites between identical twins, even ones who were seperated at birth. It's pretty cool stuff if you look into it. But that doesn't mean that, if you're playing twins, each doesn't at least deserve a seperate app.

At a board I play at, you have a seperate account for each character. Like if I play Jerry, Katy, and Sue, I need a seperate account on the board for each of them with the account name as the character's full name. So, like, I post Jerry's app under the account Jerry Adams, and only do his posts with his account, etc. Thus far we have had two cases of a person registering as twins under one account, like "Coco and Candy Wonka" and then posting a single app for Coco and Candy in which both have their personalities, histories, etc. described. They post as a unit too.

This just bugs me. If they're so similiar that they only need one profile, why are you playing two people at all? And if they are different from each other, why don't you give them different profiles?

And in both cases, each twin was really only described in relation to one another. This one is the more outgoing one and this one is more shy than her sister, this one is sportier than his brother and this one is the more bookish boy, etc. This also bugs me because if a character is only being described in comparision to another character who is only being described in comparision to the first character...I don't feel like I'm actually learning anything about the characters. Like, if one twin is a dumbshit, and the other is said to be the smarter one, that doesn't tell me that the other is smart. It just tells me that they're smarter than the dumbshit one.

I'm not a twin, but I don't think it's too outrageous to think that, hey, they might be people first and twins second?

doing it wrong, bad character bio, dumbass, i didn't read the rules, characterization fail
