You could at least, you know, READ the thread before responding...

I'll admit my thread had like five or six rules when I search for a 1-on-1 RP and sometimes people ignore them. That's fine, rules can be worked out OOC once I'm contacted and it doesn't really annoy me unless I'm already in a horrible mood or I don't want to RP and they contact me because they found the thread about six pages back. However, there ( Read more... )

I think high school in a slightly fantasy setting is appealing, if only because then it can be fairly different from real life.
I mean, a high school for fantasy creatures?
Try having a fairy that has to stay in her seat trying to see over the normal-sized nymph in front of her because the seating chart was screwed up and hasn't been remedied yet.

Well, this person wanted a realistic highschool with all the cliques and boring crap like dating and drama and...ugh.

That's why I said OT. xD
I was musing over how high school RPs can be fun.

Ah, okies, well I agree, with a supernatural twist it could be.

Still OT...

Well initially Joss Whedon’s pitch for Buffy the Vampire Slayer was that it would combine typical high school life and horror.

A producer raised his hand and asked “Isn’t that redundant?”

XD indeed it is. Although a horror boarding school, as previously mentioned, would be awesome. That actually happened at my highschool when the visual arts students and the drama students all formed a committee to hold a haunted house that year.

I'm half tempted to actually make that boarding school WoD roleplay now.

I'm trying to make one, but there's the problem of no one around me playing except my best friends who are only around for the summer and we're already doing D&D Eberron.

It could always be done over the net, problem is that most forums don't have in built die rollers. It's do-able to convert WoD into play by post format though.

Hey, if you know of a board I could use and would be up for joining, I'd totally do it.

Cool, i've been working on a net Wod thing for a while too so i have enough people to actually start something stable. I just need to find a proper website and get the clerical things figured out. I'll pm you more information when I have it.

Sweet, thanks! I'd definitely be interested, you'd have to tell me if my character is alright, though, I've only played one WoD game with a group that had never played before, but I do have the rulebooks.

I have a pdf of all the necessary books so we should be fine. I'm thinking we could do a section for sinngle template threads and one open to all of them, so all types of characters should be do-able.

oWoD or nWoD.

I'd also be interested either way! If you do start this up, please PM a link to me!

All right, i've set up a discussion thing in my journal, that should be far easier then sending a pm to every person poking their head up. If you want the copypasta message I'd be happy to send it.
