Leave your relationship at the door
Don't have your character get into a relationship with the character of your current flame. It never turns out well.
Don't complain to staff when he gets upset that your character is interacting with other men. Realize that his whole "I will make your PC my PC's magically compelled love slave" thing is really a bad sign. Or that the two of you should stay IC when the rest of us are.
You are being incredibly annoying because you can't make decisions on your own as a player, and your character is now just an accessory for your current boyfriend's character, and when your relationship crashes and burns we'll all have to deal with the drama fall out.
