Hello, folks, I'd like a minute or two of your time.
I had a very interesting experience today, and it really opened my eyes to a certain misunderstanding that occurred in the game of which I'm a member. You see, apparently, someone was under the impression that a moderately large text-based RPG is, by default, a democracy. Now, now, don't laugh. You might hurt their little feelings.
A group of players decided to form a mob, and, by way of threats and ultimatums, attempted to force change on an established game. Their tactics were ineffective and the entire group decided to take their misplaced fandoms elsewhere. Personally, my experiences with them weren't positive, and I wasn't very sad to see them, their out of place characters, and their juvenile social skills go.
When I signed in today, I was surprised to see that each of them had posted a public goodbye. Several were filled with insults and truly tragic grammar. Some took the liberty of regarding their departure as History, others made reference to cereal and power rangers, while one even quoted the declaration of independence.
I smiled sadly as I read through these immature ramblings, thinking of how childish it was for them to not even have the dignity to leave quietly.
And then I remembered, most of them actually are children, so they can't be blamed.
The moral of the story, be cautious of scorned children. They're liable to leave bothersome graffiti all over your game.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you all have a pleasant evening.
op is the brp,
i am a freaking know-it-all
