I had this problem with a character in a zombie-game character for a while, until the internal lulz focus shifted from relationships to the fact that the five-foot-two wannabe writer had collected (and was regularly wearing/carrying) more handguns and longarms than the rest of the cast combined.

GOD, I know how that is. There's always a weapons-monkey that hoards all of the best stuff on his person.

In this case, at least, the rest of the party was pretty well stocked (and, in their specific areas of expertise, better-equipped)... just not to the point of ludicrous overcompensation that, er, my character had.

(It wasn't intentional, honest... well, not the first two pairs of revolvers, automatic handgun, sawn-off shotgun, and M-4. Then once I realized what was going on I started rolling with it.)
