Just finished The Husband, one of Dean Koontz's latest books. I read it in two hours, which is a testimony to how gripping the plot was (if a book gets too unbearably suspenseful, I read faster, practically skimming it -- it's a bad habit I can't seem to break). My first assignment for writing class turned out okay. It could have used another rewrite, but I ran out of time. I ended up writing about kissing New Year's Girl after our first date and having the revelation that it's really hard to skillfully kiss someone shorter and daintier than you, and maybe I should cut my old boyfriends some slack.
