Coldest winter in 30 years, so the local radio station is interviewing Joe Bloggs on the street about the weather and the effect it has had on their grocery shopping and chicken farming (yes chicken farming, don't ask). Thoroughly entertaining hearing a perplexed Lancashire woman being asked, "Are you stocking up on essentials?" like there's a nuclear attack on its way, and her reply: "Don't be so daft. Yer fine once ye get on t'main road. I don't know what t'fuss is about. This is nothing like we 'ad when I were a girl."
